Fort Pierce, Florida

Build it yourself. We'll print it.

Most print shops ask you to email artwork and describe what you want. We built an editor so you can design it, see it on the real garment, and order it — without a phone call. Then we produce it here on S US Hwy 1.

Inside A1A Print Shop in Fort Pierce, Florida

Who we are

About A1A Print Shop

A1A Print Shop is a full-service decoration shop in Fort Pierce, Florida. We screen print, embroider, run DTF transfers, and cut vinyl for signage and vehicles — for businesses, schools, teams, restaurants, churches, and anybody else in the USA who needs their name on something.

The thing that actually separates shops in this business is not equipment, it is whether the work happens under one roof. A lot of "print shops" are sales offices that email your file to a contract printer three states away. When something goes wrong there, nobody in the conversation has touched your shirts. Our presses are forty feet from the counter. If you ask whether your logo will hold up at four inches wide, somebody who has printed it can answer.

We are small enough that you will talk to the same people every time, and equipped enough to run a few thousand pieces without blinking.

Design it, see it, order it

Our Process

The online editor is the shop. It is where you design your order, where you see exactly what you are getting, and where the production paperwork comes from. Here is the whole sequence.

  1. Design itOpen the editor, pick your garment, drop your artwork onto it. Move it, scale it, set your print size and placement. You are not describing what you want — you are building it.
  2. See itThe shirt on screen is the shirt you get. Real garment, real color, real print size and position, with quantities broken out by size and color. What you see is what you get, before you spend anything.
  3. Order itThe price updates live as you change quantity, colors, garment, and locations. When it looks right, check out. No quote request, no two-day wait, no phone call unless you want one.
  4. Approve itYou already approved it — you built it. We review the file and flag anything that will not print well before it goes on press, so nobody ever says "wait, that is not what I meant."
  5. We produce itYour order generates the production paperwork directly: separations, ink colors, placement, size breakdown, per location. Nothing gets retyped, so nothing gets mistyped.

No phone calls. No paper forms. No guessing. Your screens, separations, and digitized embroidery files stay on file afterward — reorder the same design later and you skip setup entirely, and it comes out matching the first run.

What to upload

The editor takes image files directly. Which formats depend on the method, because the methods need different things from your file.

MethodAccepted files
Screen printingPNG only
DTF / full colorPNG or JPG
EmbroideryPNG or JPG
SublimationPNG or JPG

Screen printing needs a PNG. A JPG cannot hold a transparent background — it fills it with white — and that white box will print.

When you need actual artwork help

Vector files, PDFs, a logo that needs redrawing, or something sketched on paper: email sales@a1aprintshop.com and our art department will turn it into a print-ready file. Once it is ready you will have a PNG you can drop straight into the editor. That email is for artwork only — ordering still happens in the editor.

Common questions

FAQs

How do I get a price?

Build the job in the online editor and the price appears as you go. Change quantity, ink colors, garment, or print locations and the number updates immediately. No quote form, nothing to wait for.

What file formats do you accept?

Screen printing: PNG only. DTF, embroidery, and sublimation: PNG or JPG. You upload directly in the editor and watch it land on the garment, so you know it worked before you order.

Why does screen printing only take PNG?

A JPG cannot store a transparent background — it fills transparency with white, and on press that white becomes a printed box around your design. PNG keeps the background genuinely empty and holds the hard edges each screen needs.

What if my artwork is a PDF, an AI file, or a sketch?

Email sales@a1aprintshop.com and our art department will convert it into a print-ready file. You will get back a PNG you can drop straight into the editor. That address is for artwork only — ordering happens in the editor.

What is your minimum order?

15 pieces for screen printing, because burning screens is fixed work regardless of quantity. Switch the method to DTF in the editor and there is no minimum — a single full-color shirt is a normal order.

How many colors can you do?

Up to 8 ink colors per print location on the screen press. Up to 15 thread colors on an embroidery design. DTF and sublimation are full color with no limit.

How long does an order take?

5–10 business days is standard. Rush runs 24–72 hours depending on the run size and the press schedule. Put a hard deadline in the job notes and we will confirm it in writing before producing.

Do I get a proof before you print?

You build the proof. What you see in the editor is what goes into production, so the usual back-and-forth over a mockup does not happen. We still review every file and will contact you if something will not reproduce well at the size you set.

Do you keep my artwork for reorders?

Yes. Screens, separations, and digitized embroidery files stay on file. Create an account and past jobs are saved with garment, colors, placement, and size breakdown — reorders skip setup and match the original run.

Do you do police and fire department uniforms?

Yes — duty polos, station tees, job shirts, and academy apparel for Treasure Coast agencies. Anything carrying a badge, patch, or department mark runs through a verified department account. See police and fire & EMS.

Do you ship, or is it pickup only?

Both. Free local pickup at the shop on S US Hwy 1. We ship nationwide, priced from your ZIP at checkout.
