Police Department Uniforms & Apparel at A1A Print Shop in Fort Pierce, Florida

What agencies order from us

  • Embroidered duty polos — department insignia, name, and rank. The everyday non-Class-A shirt.
  • Department tees — training, PT, off-duty, and unit shirts.
  • Job shirts and outerwear — cold-weather layers with embroidered patches or direct stitching.
  • Academy and recruit apparel — class shirts, PT gear, graduation apparel.
  • Community and charity events — National Night Out, youth programs, Special Olympics torch runs, fundraiser tees.
  • Explorer and cadet programs — youth-sized apparel matched to the department mark.

Consistency across reorders is the actual requirement

A department order is never one order. New hires arrive, gear wears out, a unit gets stood up. The thing that matters is whether the batch you order in eighteen months matches the batch hanging in the locker room today.

We keep your digitized insignia file and your screens. Reorders come off the same file, at the same placement, in the same thread — and skip setup charges entirely.

How department orders run

Because insignia, badges, and department marks are restricted, agency orders do not run through the self-serve editor the way a business t-shirt does. We verify that the order is authorized by the agency before anything with a department mark is produced — standard practice, and it protects the department more than it protects us.

Email sales@a1aprintshop.com or call (772) 460-6677 from a department contact and we will set the account up. After that, reorders are quick — the files are already ours.

Non-insignia apparel — a plain unit tee, a charity run shirt, a PT design without department marks — can be built and ordered in the editor like anything else.

Local matters here more than usual

When a shift needs shirts before Monday, a vendor three states away cannot help. We are on S US Hwy 1 in Fort Pierce, we run rush jobs in 24–72 hours, and somebody can drive over and look at a garment in person.

Frequently asked questions

Do you verify agency authorization?

Yes, on anything carrying a badge, patch, or department mark. We confirm the request comes from an authorized department contact before producing. It is standard for public-safety work and it is not negotiable.

Can individual officers order for themselves?

Apparel without department insignia, yes — build it in the editor like any other order. Anything carrying the agency mark has to come through the department account.

Can you match our existing uniform shirts?

Usually. Bring one in, or send photos plus the style number off the tag. We will source the closest blank in our catalog and match thread colors to the existing embroidery.

How do I get a price?

Build the job in the online editor and the price appears as you go. Change the quantity, ink colors, garment, or print locations and the number updates immediately.

There is no quote form and nothing to wait for. Most people have a real number inside two minutes.

What is the minimum order for screen printing?

15 pieces per design. Screen printing has fixed setup work — burning screens and registering the press — that happens whether you order 15 shirts or 500.

Need fewer? Switch the method to DTF in the editor. No minimum, full color, and a single shirt is a normal order.

What does it cost?

Three things move the price: quantity, ink colors, and which blank you pick. More pieces and fewer colors means less per shirt. Screens are a one-time $30 per color, and we keep them on file so reorders skip that charge.

Rather than quote ranges at you, the editor prices your exact job live.

How long does it take?

Standard turnaround is 5–10 business days. Rush runs 24–72 hours depending on the size of the run and what is on the press schedule.

Hard deadline — a game, an opening, a shift change? Put it in the job notes when you order and we will confirm in writing before we produce.

Can you match my exact brand colors?

Yes. We mix plastisol to Pantone (PMS) numbers. Set your ink colors in the editor, and if you have official PMS codes put them in the job notes so we match to those rather than to our best guess.

What file formats do you accept?

Screen printing: PNG only. DTF, embroidery, and sublimation: PNG or JPG.

You upload the file directly in the editor and see it land on the garment immediately, so you know it worked before you order.

Why does screen printing only take PNG?

Because a JPG cannot store a transparent background. It fills transparency with white, and on press that white becomes a printed white box around your design. PNG keeps the background genuinely empty and holds the hard edges each screen needs.

If all you have is a JPG for a screen print job, send it to sales@a1aprintshop.com and our art department will convert it properly.

My artwork is a PDF / AI / EPS / a sketch. Now what?

That is what sales@a1aprintshop.com is for. Send whatever you have — vector files, a PDF, a photo of something drawn on paper — and our art department turns it into a print-ready file.

Once it is ready you will have a PNG you can drop straight into the editor and order like anything else. The email route is for artwork only; ordering still happens in the editor.

Can I order different sizes in the same run?

Yes, at no extra charge, and you enter the breakdown yourself in the editor — a grid of sizes by garment color, so you can see exactly what you are ordering.

2XL and up carry a small blank upcharge from the mill, which the editor applies automatically. We box everything sorted by size.
